Stiegl Raspberry Radler arrives in the UK and kicks off a Summer of Radler

Updated: Oct 11, 2023

In partnership with Euroboozer, Stiegl Raspberry Radler will be available in the UK from Monday 10th April.

Joining the original Stiegl Grapefruit Radler, Stiegl Brauerei will begin shipping Stiegl Raspberry Radler to the UK this month, arriving in the UK just in time for spring and summer.

Stiegl Raspberry Radler is an eminently refreshing beer produced by combining Stiegl’s iconic Goldbräu lager with their homemade raspberry lemonade. This much-revered, radler beer contains just 2% alcohol by volume, a perfect low-alcohol option for people looking for a thirst-quenching summer crusher, available in 500ml cans and on draught in 50L kegs to wholesale customers.

With the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler already a favourite in some of the UK’s best bars, pubs and hospitality venues, the Stiegl Raspberry Radler will initially be available on draught from Brewhouse & Kitchen sites around the country, as well as Albert’s Schloss in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool all of which will participating in the Stiegl ‘Summer of Radler’ campaign, and from MEATliquor, who will serve Stiegl Raspberry Radler on draught and in cans.

Beers of Europe will also stock 500ml cans, available both instore and online.

The beer will be priced at £5.50 for a pint, and at £2.39 per 500ml can in off-trade.

An absolute must for any beer lover, the Stiegl Raspberry Radler has a striking pink complexion and bold ripe berry notes with raspberry jam aromas giving way to slight tartness on the palate alongside feint vanilla sweetness, impeccably balanced with the malt character and light hoppiness of the Stiegl Goldbräu base.

Stiegl Raspberry Radler is perfect on its own, but also pairs well with food – particularly vanilla desserts, strudel and lemon sorbet – and works extremely well as the base for beer cocktails.

On the UK launch of Stiegl Raspberry Radler, Martyn Railton, MD of Euroboozer, said:

“We’re thrilled with the UK’s reaction to Stiegl Grapefruit Radler and are sure that the Raspberry Radler will be just as popular this summer, if not even more so with its striking deep pink appearance. It’s a delicious, refreshing beer that’s perfect for any occasion and we can’t wait for it to finally be available in the UK in both cans and on draught.”

Stiegl Export Manager Thomas Necker adds:

“We are excited for the UK to be introduced to our Raspberry Radler and can’t wait to see it being served in UK bars after performing so well in North America over the past couple of years. It’s elegant, approachable and refreshing: everything a radler should be.”

Following the Stiegl Raspberry Radler UK launch, Eurobozer and Stiegl will also host their third annual Stiegl Radler Cocktail Competition in the following weeks. Updates will follow shortly.

About Stiegl

First mentioned in written records on 16th June 1492, Stiegl Brauerei in Salzburg, Austria, grew out of a popular beer-making guesthouse called the ‘Bräuhaus an der Gstätten’.

Over the past 531 years, Stiegl has seen immense joy and celebrations but also fires, war and economic turmoil. The brewery persevered, however, and has managed to remain strong, playing a huge role in both Salzburg and Austria’s culture and history. Even Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was known to be a fan of Stiegl’s beers during the 18th century.

Today the brewery is best-known for its multi award-winning Stiegl Goldbräu beer, with Stiegl utilising a wealth of brewing experience combined with some of the most high-tech brewing equipment and processes in Europe. The brewery also benefits from the finest Austrian raw materials sourced from local farmers (some of which are cultivated in the brewery’s own fields), plus Alpine Spring Water from Salzburg’s house mountain, the Untersberg.

About Euroboozer

Started from the back of an old VW Vento in 2003, Euroboozer was set up by beer lover Martyn Railton, initially importing Austrian brands Stiegl, Schremser and Hirter. The company soon branched out across the Atlantic to bring some of the finest US craft brewers to the UK. 20 years on, the VW Vento has gone to be replaced with offices and a warehouse in Hertfordshire with a fleet of vans delivering all over the country.

Euroboozer now supplies some of the finest food and beverage establishments in the country and their brands still include Austria’s Stiegl, Schremser and Hirter, plus a sublime selection of specialist Czech lager brands such as Kutna Hora, New York’s famous Brooklyn Brewery, BlakStoc cider from Austria, and beers from leading British breweries such as DEYA, London Brewing Company, Rooster’s and Verdant, which are mainstays in almost all of the UK’s best craft beer bars and bottle shops.
