The UK’s favourite craft brewers and special guests from around the world are gearing up to welcome back their trade comrades, to celebrate We Are Beer’s first industry events in over 18 months.
Its first trade sessions will be at its inaugural Manchester Craft Beer Festival (MCBF) taking place on the 23rd-24th July at The Depot, Manchester.
It will be followed by the London’s favourite celebration of craft beer, music and street food, London Craft Beer Festival, as it returns to the Tobacco Dock for its 9th year, showcasing the very best in UK and International breweries over the 13th-15th August.
Beer buyers and flavour aficionados will be flocking to both events this summer for the first post-lockdown trade shows. This will be an opportunity for industry professionals to network over tasters across the beer spectrum, sample latest product launches, and try new recipes and innovations in the brewing world.
In London over 100+ established breweries including Northern Monk, Verdant, Vault City, Tiny Rebel, The Kernel, Partizan, Gipsy Hill and Signature Brew Co are confirmed, with 27 US beers (inc. Sierra Nevada, Deschutes and Cigar City) being specially curated and imported by The US Brewers Association. European talent is represented by Mikkeller, Mars’s Brau, Whiplash, Lindheim and the highly rated Nerd Brewing amongst others.
There will be a focus on new breweries with winners of the national ‘Raise The Bar’ best new brewers competition also in attendance, showcasing the latest tastes from the UK’s finest emerging talent. Expect anything from experimental mixed fermentation beers to crisp bright lagers.
“For the first time since the pandemic began, the craft beer and hospitality trade, from indie proprietor to supermarket buyer will be able to re-connect face to face, share experiences and have a chance to explore new opportunities and trends in the post covid market.” Greg Wells – co-founder.
“With some extra time to plan our 2021 event, we’ve made sure that this year’s festival will be a very special gathering and a great place for the craft beer fans and the industry to come together again after such a long time apart” says co-founder, Dan Sylvester – co-founder.
Food, as a natural bedfellow to beer is also represented at LCBF in abundance. Top table highlights will include special menus from the likes of 10 Greek Street, Two Tribes Campfire barbeque with From The Ashes and Bignight presents Royale and guests. Alongside this, some of London’s most cult eateries are attending, including Bleecker Burger, Lucky & Joy, and vegan favourite Club Mexicana.
For drinks connoisseurs wanting to explore beyond fruity IPAs and barrel aged stouts, expect the latest creations from some of London’s most innovative brands like Big Drop No Alc. Beers, Sunday Selzters and East Liquor Liquor Co.
