Unicorn Rodeo raises funds & awareness for LGBT+ Helpline Switchboard
Now being released for the fourth year, a portion of the proceeds from Hackney Brewery’s Unicorn Rodeo are donated to Switchboard, an LGBT+ helpline that has been giving advice and lending an ear to those who need it for over 45 years.
Along with raising funds for Switchboard the annual release helps raise awareness of the vital support that they provide 365 days a year.
Due to its popularity, this year Unicorn Rodeo will be brewed twice for the first time. The first brew will be released in May available in cans & kegs, with the second coming out in keg in July.
Hackney Brewery has been brewing Unicorn Rodeo since 2018, and it has been partnered with Switchboard since 2019.
This year, the Switchboard helpline number will even feature on the label for the cans.
The beer will first be available exclusively at Hackney’s High Hill Tap from Friday 6th May with the general release on Monday 8th May. Cans will be available to purchase online from the Hackney Brewery webshop.
Unicorn Rodeo is an easy drinking 4% DDH (Double Dry Hopped) Extra Pale Ale with Simcoe, Mosaic & Citra hops for a light & refreshing combo of citrus, mango & grapefruit.

Hackney Brewery celebrated 10 years of brewing in 2021. Founded in a couple of railway arches in Haggerston back in 2011, Hackney Brewery is an independently-owned brewery now based on Blackhorse Lane, E17.
